Bernice Bienenstock Furniture Library Names New Curator

The Bernice Bienenstock Furnitutre Library, a research library located in High Point, NC, announced that its longtime Cureator Carl Vuncannon will retire at the end of 2010.

Karla Webb will succeed Mr. Vuncannon. She will be responsible for the day-to day operation of the Library, it's book sales operations, as well as the care and maintenance of its 8,000 volumes on furniture and design.

Ms. Webb holds a Degree in Interior Design, has worked with several furniture companies and  headed her own design firm.

"Carl has been an invaluable administrator and Curator, said Charles Sutton, Chairman of the Library's Board of Directors, "he was chosen by the Library's founder Sandy Bienenstock because he possessed the skills and talents necessary to run the Library's varied operations. Besides the day to day working with library visitors, internet queries and industry liason, Carl has been responsible for our Book sales during the Spring and Fall Markets. He is widely respected for his hard work and dedication. We will continue to call on Carl for his counsel and assistance. We do wish him and his wife, Evelyn, the very best."
