It all begins next Wednesday when AmericasMart throws open its doors to welcome retailers from around the globe to the January 2011 Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market and the Atlanta International Area Rug Market, featuring the National Oriental Rug Show.
AmericasMart partnered with leading tastemakers and celebrity chefs and authors to create headline events for the first Market of the year. Eminent personalities include Stan Topol, Alexa Hampton, Chip Wade, Alix G. errachon, Jamie Durie, Chef Duff Goldman and Chef Hugh Acheson and top Home bloggers Niki Papadopoulous, Claire Watkins, Brian Patrick Flynn and Barry Leach.
In recognition of its 50th anniversary, AmericasMart is highlighting HOME—both area rugs and design-driven furnishings and accessories—with the HD Home premiere preview party and the renowned and most anticipated area rug event of the year America’s Magnificent Carpet Awards (AMCA). The HD Home event takes place on Thursday, January 13, 2-6 p.m. in Building 1, first floor lobby where the showcase is staged. The AMCA evening kicks off on Saturday, January 15, at 6 p.m. at the Marriott Marquis.
