Surya announced it will continue their year long 35th Anniversary Celebration at the Las Vegas World Market Center on Monday January 24th. To commemorate the anniversary, Surya will be hosting parties at all eight of the market’s they participate in throughout the year including Atlanta, Las Vegas, New York, and High Point. The second of 8 celebrations will be held in their Las Vegas Showroom B370, Monday January 24th from 4-7 pm. The event will include a catered dinner, cocktails, and live music.
Surya was founded in 1976 in the northeastern village of Ugapur, India by Surya Tiwari. They set up their first office and warehouse in the US in 1986 in New York. They moved to Calhoun Georgia in 2001, where they currently base their corporate offices and warehouses. Surya’s mission at the time was to establish a company that would help support and provide income for his family and local villagers. From their humble beginnings, they have grown to one of the largest rug exporters in India and suppliers to the US and international markets.
