The Midwest Furniture Club announced that the Midwest Furniture Show will return to the Schaumburg Convention Center on September 6th and 7th.  Ashley Furniture, Simply Amish, Corsicana Bedding, John Thomas Furniture and Brady Furniture are among the manufacturers and distributors that have already signed up for the show. The Club is currently taking deposits for the 2012 show and is beginning to work on the floor plan.

“We are getting inquiries and requests from several manufacturers to begin the show sign-ups earlier this year,” says Geoff Weed, the show coordinator for last year’s show and this year’s show, “Many of our exhibitors are returning, and we are currently contacting the exhibitors on our waiting list to make sure they are aware of our deadlines and improvements to the show. We’ve also moved the show to September so our dealers can focus on planning the fourth quarter and tax time with their important vendors.”

“We’ll be back this year,” says Ron Adilman, a longtime manufacturer’s representative in Chicago. “We had a great year last year, and have some new plans and ideas for how to make the show more successful for us in 2012.”

Brady Furniture, a 2011 start-up Distributor will also return. “We started out business last year in a tough business environment, but enjoyed better-than-expected growth. We sponsored lunch last year and had a great opportunity to make sure our Chicago customers knew our value proposition. It’s been a good year. With our return this year, we expect that will continue improving our position in the market place.”

The Midwest Furniture Show was started in 2006 in Wheaton IL and has grown substantially since the first show. Last year, over 700 retail customers came to the show and over 70 exhibitors presented their goods. Show organizers expect better attendance this year with several new initiatives aimed at drawing more retailers, specifically the interior design trade.
