The Post-Journal (www.post-journal.com) reported that Crawford furniture based in Jamestown, NY closed it's plant and layed off 84 employees earlier than specified in it's chapter 11 restructuring plan.

The article noted that, "In October, company officials announced Crawford Retail Outlets would be closing all five of its retail stores, but the manufacturing plant would try to continue operating to produce furniture that would be sold to retailers throughout the country. The company's retail locations are located in Hamburg, Lockport, Williamsville, Amherst and Lakewood."

Crawford furniture was founded in 1883 in Jamestown, NY as a manufacturer of solid wood furniture.
