But this year, the firm (formerly known as Lance Benefield & Co.) has also been honored with ten (10) National Finalists. They are: American Leather with three (3) finalists including the national television commercials “Little Angels” and “Good Day”; and “Comfort Sleeper” television commercials; Karastan, the Atlanta, GA, a division of Mohawk Industries and the leading floor covering producer of rugs and broadloom, with two (2) finalists including the national television commercial “Sunwash” and “National Karastan Month” commercial used by dealers throughout North America; and Robb & Stucky, Fort Myers, FL, based high end retailer with five (5) finalists including the multi award winning television campaign “One World-World of Robb & Stucky”; the “One World-Bermuda” commercial; “One World-American Leather” leather commercial; the “One World-Choices in Leather” commercial; & the “One World-Seating Showcase” commercial. Sharon Peppers, Senior Vice President, LBC, stated, “The competition is designed to select the best local and regional and national television commercials in the United States. The competition annually draws more than 30,000 advertising agencies to enter. The entries are judged for creativity, production quality, copywriting and concept, talent and overall effectiveness.” She continued, “A panel of judges with backgrounds in creating and producing television commercials judge and rate each entry. Four finalists from each category go into a second and final round of judging to determine the National Winner in each category. We are ecstatic and honored to be the winner of the retail category.” LBC captured 10 out of the 12 possible National Finalist positions. The National Winner for 2001, the “Comfort Sleeper” commercial, ran for various dealers throughout North America as part of their American Leather Television System. Over 50 dealers supported this effort during the fall of 2001 for this client. This was LBC’s 2nd National Winner in the past five years. According to David Santos, Director, Post Production for LBC, “The firm has been privileged to serve the likes of Robb & Stucky, Karastan, American Leather and more during this period. We entered the best, not to win awards, but to drive in new business that incidentally won awards for national excellence in marketing communications on their behalf. We are honored that these clients were acknowledged as being the best in what they do and that their advertising supported their excellence in this aspect of their business.” All of the commercials were crafted and directed by Sean Hanish, and filmed by Gennadi Balitski.
