Furniture Dealers Can Now Receive Names Of New Movers Within One Week Of Starting Phone Service

A new marketing program from Americalist Home Furnishings Marketing Group of North Canton, Ohio, enables furniture dealers to receive phone and mailing records of people who have moved within one week of phone service being turned on. Called First Contact, the program from the 32-year-old direct marketing company is designed to provide furniture dealers with the most current list of "new movers" for direct mail and telemarketing purposes. "We called the program First Contact because for so many businesses, being the first to make contact -- by phone or mail -- with a new prospect in their area is critical," said Charles Grandjean, National Sales Manager of Americalist. This is especially true in the furniture industry. These records give dealers the ability to routinely reach new movers before their competition." Derived from new 411 information records, First Contact listings (name, address and phone number) are available to customers within one week of phone service being turned on (more than 50,000 new listings every day nationwide). Independent auditing confirms that "new movers" provided by Americalist are the most current and accurate available. Listings are also available of new businesses nationwide and in individual markets. Like "new mover" records, new business listings are delivered within one week of phone service connection. First Contact records will be sold to businesses on a one-time or subscription basis. The lists can be selected to include single-family-home records, renters, or both. Additionally, Americalist could provide businesses with the complete services to contact these records through direct mail and telemarketing. "By using all of our services, a furniture dealer could consistently be the first to contact new movers or new businesses in their area with almost no effort on their part," Grandjean said. "Americalist could design a mail piece, and print, address and mail it to new movers in that business' market area every month. We handle the whole program."
