"When we were looking to expand outside of Texas, we researched several markets and found Orange County to have some of the strongest attributes to offer," said Wilkov. With its headquarters in Dallas, Wilkov opened the first Cantoni store in the city in 1984, and then further expanded into the Texas market with a larger Dallas center and a second location in Houston, which opened in 1992, then expanded in 1996. "By opening a retail location in Irvine, we will increase our exposure nationally, which is important in our effort to broaden our customer base," Wilkov said.
