To continue to promote Italian fashion worldwide, the Italian Trade Commission announced it has partnered with Italiatour, Alitalia and Pitti Immagine trade show management to offer exclusive travel packages to U.S. retailers attending Pitti Immagine shows in Florence in June, July and September. These programs are valid for the Pitti Immagine Bimbo show to be held June 29-July 1, the Pitti Immagine Filati show, July 4-6, and the Pitti Immagine Casa show scheduled for September 21-23. To provide a wide selection of travel accommodations, three packages are available and retailers can select economy or business class airfares, tourist, first class or deluxe hotels in Florence and optional land-only excursions to Tuscany or Lake Como. Participating executives also receive discounted show registration fees, complimentary passes to the Pitti Immagine opening gala and free entry to the Pitti Immagine Club Lounge where retailers can enjoy complimentary refreshments and access to business services. "The Italian Trade Commission is pleased to partner with such leading brands as Italiatour, Alitalia and Pitti Immagine to offer U.S. retailers affordable and direct access to preview the newest Italian fashions, designers and manufacturers," said Sergio La Verghetta, deputy commissioner for the Italian Trade Commission. "The Italian Trade Commission is dedicated to promoting the 'Made in Italy' label in the United States and encouraging American retailers to support Italian fashion. Through these exclusive travel packages, we know retailers will enjoy a highly satisfying experience at the Pitti Immagine shows."
