2004 ASFD David Kline Memorial Scholarship Winner Announced

Congratulations to S. Joshua Brincko from Kent State University for winning ASFD's recent scholarship competition which was co-sponsored by Hafele America Co. Hafele is an industry supplier of functional and decorative hardware and has been a loyal corporate member and supporter of ASFD for many years. The scholarship presentation including a check for $4,000 to Brincko will be made at ASFD's Spring Market dinner on April 23 at the Colonial Country Club in Thomasville. “It is the opinion of the judges that the winning entry by S. Joshua Brincko’s “Swigga Bed” best satisfied his stated design objectives and presented a fresh take on a traditional form that allows for a surprising variety of uses.” Entries were accepted from design students across the U.S. and they were judged by professional members of ASFD, namely, Philip Behrens, Ted Rittersdorf and Steve Hodges.
