Lanphier And Parnell Named Entrepreneurs Of The Year

Nick Lanphier and Larry Parnell of Oakwood Interiors were recently named Entrepreneurs of the Year in the Manufacturing Category for the Inland Empire, California including San Bernardino, Riverside, Imperial, Los Angeles and Orange Counties. The Entrepreneur of the Year award was founded by Ernst & Young LLP over a decade ago as a community service nationwide to honor individuals whose ingenuity, hard work and innovation have created successful and growing business ventures. Today the program takes place in 46 major U.S. markets and ten countries internationally, and includes the following national co-sponsors: The Entrepreneur of the Year Institute; The Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, Inc. at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation; USA Today; and the Nasdaq Stock Market. This year, entrepreneurs were nominated in each of seven categories. Mr. Lanphier and Mr. Parnell were selected as winners by a distinguished panel of judges based upon their commitment and risk, financial performance, innovation and community contribution. Lanphier stated, "This recognition reflects the tremendous efforts of our employees who have made Oakwood Interiors successful. Larry and I are honored to receive this award on behalf of the entire company." Both will go on to compete at the national level at the Entrepreneur Of The Year international conference held in Palm Desert, California in November.
