Medium to high-end casegoods manufacturer Leda Furniture is again participating in a student co-op program with Conestoga College, a well-respected woodworking college in Ontario. Darryl Kamal, a first year student with Conestoga College, will be carrying out his co-op with Leda through out the summer of 2005.
Leda Furniture has been working closely with Conestoga College for a number of years recruiting students of co-operative programs specializing in Woodworking Technology and providing them with the practical experience required in the furniture manufacturing industry.
“We are very proud of our association with Conestoga and that they look at us a viable avenue for their students to gain practical hands-on experience as part of their education,” states Leda President Marco L. Confalone.
The co-op programs runs for approximately 3 months and in the past has covered jobs in Leda’s machining, sub-assembly, veneering and engineering departments.
