High Point Transportation Terminal Dedication On October 16

U.S. Congressmen Howard Coble and Mel Watt will be on hand Sunday, October 16, 2005 for the dedication of the new High Point Transportation Terminal. Located on Commerce Street between Showplace and the International Home Furnishings Center, the new terminal will simplify getting around the Market from the time the attendees arrive in High Point until the time they leave. The dedication will take place at 4:00 p.m. at the new facility. In addition to Congressmen Coble and Watt, other speakers will include Mayor Rebecca Smothers; Doug Gaylon, Chairman of the Board for the N.C. Department of Transportation; David King, Deputy Secretary for Transit; Paul Toms, Chairman of the Board for the International Home Furnishings Market Authority; and Ed Powell, architect for Davis-Martin-Powell and Associates.
