Wilson Joins Leda as Canadian VP Sales & Marketing

Industry veteran, Grant Wilson, has joined Leda Furniture in the newly created position of Canadian Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Grant’s extensive experience in the high-end retail furniture industry coupled with his seven years as North American Sales Manager with Canadian solid wood manufacturer West Bros., will assist the Leda team with their marketing goals and growing the business. “I have great respect for the Confalone family and their achievements in this fantastic industry and look forward to working with the Leda team. I also look forward to working with a new group of retailers, along with some old acquaintances. I believe an awful lot of manufacturers have forgotten the retailers and their importance to this industry.” states Wilson. Wilson will work closely with Leda President Marco L. Confalone and US Vice President Sale & Marketing Richard Graves to develop various new marketing and branding programs. Several of these new projects will be launched within 2005 including a Quick Ship Program, a Leda Advantage campaign and a new fabric program. “We have known Grant Wilson for several years, including his time in retail and as a representative. We are very pleased to welcome him to the Leda family and are very confident in his abilities. He is one of those rare individuals that because of his experiences in various fields can view things from the perspective of both our retailers’ needs and our manufacturing capabilities.” states Confalone. I guess my retailer background keeps me aware of how the retailer and the manufacturers need to work together to maintain this industry’s greatness.” states Wilson.
