Westley Owens Joins Ital Art Design

Westley Owens has joined Ital Art Design, as Corporate Designer. For over fifteen years, Ms. Owens has established an international reputation for her work designing and sourcing accessories, furniture, lighting, and rugs. She will have responsibility for developing an extended collection of accessories for the Rancho Dominguez, CA-based importer and manufacturer. Mike Bakian, President of Ital Art Design, underscored Ms. Owens’ importance to his company by stating, “Westley brings international sourcing contacts, a great sense of traditional styling, and wonderful taste in accessories and furniture to our company. We have been offering a broad accessory collection for years and Westley will expand the line and make Ital Art Design a major player in this segment of the industry.” Ms. Owens formerly served in similar capacities at John-Richard and Brintons U.S. Axminster. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Atlanta College of Art. “I lived in Italy and broadened my appreciation of historical furniture and accessory styles and how they have been adapted to the lifestyles of the modern consumer”, stated Ms. Owens. “While studying design and art throughout Europe, I began focusing on a career in the fascinating home furnishings industry, culminating in my relationship with Ital Art Design. We plan to present a major accessory introduction at the April High Point Market.”
