Mease Named CFO/COO Of Connie Post Companies

The Connie Post Companies, a leading design and strategic brand development firm in the home furnishings industry, announced that Jack W. Mease, CPA has been named chief financial officer and chief operating officer, a newly created position. Mease, based here, reports to Connie Post, chief executive, and is responsible for finance, accounting and operations. According to Post, the move is part of the natural evolution of the growing, vertically integrated concern. “With the launch of our Global Media division last year (the company’s international marketing and product development arm), coupled with the continued growth of our design firm and our Precision Millworking factory, we had a critical need for expert talent in finance and operations,” she relates. “My goal is to run the Connie Post Companies in the most efficient manner possible, and I’m very excited about the addition of Jack Mease. He is a first-class executive well versed in multiple businesses related to our industry, and comes to us with substantive factory experience that will help us realize our full potential in the years to come. Jack’s outstanding skill-sets bring a new dimension to the Connie Post Companies and we’re all simply thrilled that he’s joined our team.” Prior to joining the Connie Post Companies, Mease, 52, served as vice president and chief financial officer of L-S Industries, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of specialty packaging materials. Previously, he was a partner of Hall, Mease & Company, a full-service accounting firm serving small to medium-size businesses in West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky. He has also worked variously as a sole practitioner, controller, internal auditor and staff accountant for companies such as Union Carbide Corp., and Plum Creek Timber Co. A graduate of Marshall University and a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he achieved the rank of Sergeant, Mease is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants, a former board member of the West Virginia Public Accountants Association, and a member of the Huntington Estate Planning Council. In addition, he is treasurer and a past president of the Barboursville Rotary Club, treasurer of the Cabell County Schools Foundation, a former Commissioner of the Pea Ridge Public Service District and a former member and treasurer of the Greater Huntington Parks and Recreation District. A devoted father of two and a resident of Huntington, WV, Mease is an active member of the Fifth Avenue Baptist Church where he currently serves as vice-chairman of the Worship & Evangelism Commission, and has worked as chairman of the Finance Commission. He has traveled to Nicaragua on Mission trips twice a year for the past three years. “As a businessperson and member of the community, I’ve long been aware of the Connie Post Companies,” Mease relates, “and I’ve witnessed the incredible growth of the firm over the years.
