This January attendees of Las Vegas Market will see much more than the 400 permanent and temporary exhibitors at World Market Center’s main building and on-site Pavilions. When Las Vegas Market’s temporary exhibition at Mandalay Bay Convention Center opens on January 31, 2006, buyers will find an impressive presentation from over 500 exhibitors, and with just over 600,000 square feet, demand for booth space was at a premium. World Market Center’s leasing team experienced an overwhelming number of requests for temporary space and has nearly sold out within weeks. “We’re very excited by the number of temporary exhibitors returning for the second Las Vegas Market and by the overwhelming demand for increased booth space from last July. This kind of demand has allowed us to be very selective about the type of companies who will be showing in January,” commented Babs Blair, Director of Leasing Manager at World Market Center. “Space at Mandalay Bay is almost sold out, and the exhibitor line-up includes some of the top manufacturers in the home furnishings industry. In fact, many of these companies will become permanent tenants in future buildings.” In January, the Mandalay Bay venue promises an incredible presentation of manufacturers and new products attendees won’t see anywhere else. The line-up includes everything from furnishings and home accessories to lighting companies, as well as a juried area of high style products at the Design Gallery, and the internationally recognized Interior Lifestyle USA, produced in cooperation with Messe Frankfurt. Temporary space for July 2006 Market will expand significantly with close to 1 million square feet, allowing World Market Center officials to accommodate the growing demand among temporary exhibitors. The Summer Market is expected to be the largest show yet. As part of World Market Center’s continued efforts to address the needs and wants of attendees, buyers will find new and additional enhancements in January to ensure their market experience is both productive and enjoyable. “World Market Center is committed to ensuring that our improved services and amenities meet and even exceed the expectations of our attendees. An enhanced hotel lineup, shuttle program, registration, and directional signage and more will contribute to an even better experience at Las Vegas Market,” said Briana Mackey, Show Director at World Market Center. “At Mandalay Bay, in particular, we have refined our floor segmentation so that categories are grouped in easy-to-shop product neighborhoods throughout the halls, creating a more efficient buying experience for attendees.” To link World Market Center’s downtown campus with Mandalay Bay, a continuous shuttle program will be offered each day of market, starting at 7:00 a.m. and conclude one hour after the close of the show. There will be a number of service enhancements to the shuttle program for the January Market, including increased service during peak hours and offering more transportation between all of the market venues, with shuttles stopping right at the front door of World Market Center making travel even more convenient for attendees. These inter-venue shuttles are in addition to the already planned shuttles to and from 16 individual host hotel properties throughout Las Vegas. Trained shuttle greeters will be present at of the host hotels throughout the show to assist riders and ensure that market goers have full schedule information.
