Shuford Mills Introduces New Outdura® Collections for 2007

Shuford Mills LLC is introducing four new collections for its 2007 line of furniture-weight Outdura® fabrics. Each of the collections – Colorblocked, The Hamptons, Safari Style, and Urban Essentials – includes coordinating stripes, jacquards and solids that integrate with new and existing colors and collections available in the 100 percent solution-dyed acrylic fabric produced and marketed by Shuford Mills of Hickory, N.C. In the Colorblocked collection, jacquards team with correlating solids for combinations that can light up any room. Eight-ounce solids Paprika and Canary join newcomer Mango for a warm, inviting presentation that includes Cosmos, a whimsical floral, and Kaleidoscope, a colorful diamond correlate. Colors include Citrus, a summer-soft shade of orange, Paprika, a toned-down red, and Canary, a gentle yellow. The Hamptons collection is a classic interpretation with timeless elements and traditional coloring. Newcomer solids Ice Blue and Neptune contrast with Ivory in Skipper for a casual, nautical theme. Introducing textural interest to the dramatic, crisp lines of Bay Street are patterns Panache and Croquet. Safari Style blends the ethnically inspired Tribal pattern with the grasscloth-like texture of Jinga. For a refined, stylish combination, add the bold, clean lines of Zula. Or, let the rich palette of Coffee provide a sophisticated complement to neutrals. Inspired by 1950s patio cloth, the Urban Essentials collection features patterns Montage, a layered foliage overall, Tandem, a retro-inspired geometric, and Collage, a textural tweed that uses boucles and multicolored yarns to create an upscale look. “These introductions in furniture-weight Outdura were created by a fabric design team with decades of residential upholstery design experience,” said Jeff Jimison, director of sales and marketing for Outdura. “Furniture manufacturers have found that casual furniture covered in premium Outdura retains its vibrant color and beauty indoors and out, even when subjected to weather, children and pets.
