Vaughan-Bassett Takes Showroom at World Market Center Las Vegas

Vaughn-Bassett Furniture Company, a large manufacturer of wooden master bedroom furniture, announced plans to open a permanent showroom at World Market Center Las Vegas. A respected manufacturer in the industry for more than 85 years, Vaughan-Bassett’s new showroom will be in the second building at World Market Center, scheduled to open for the January 2007 Las Vegas Market. “We attended the inaugural Las Vegas Market in July 2005 and we were very impressed with the large number of small and medium sized dealers who attended. We have over 3,000 accounts in the United States and we need to reach those dealers,” said Doug Bassett, Vice President of Sales at Vaughan-Bassett Furniture Company. “We look forward to our first market in Las Vegas when our showroom in Building Two opens in January 2007.” World Market Center officials are excited to have Vaughan-Bassett Furniture Company join the roster of companies leasing space in the second building. Vaughan and Mr. J.D. Bassett, Sr., both from Bassett, Virginia. As of 2006, Vaughan-Basset has become the largest manufacturer of wooden master bedroom furniture in the United States. Over ninety-five percent of its production is made in its plants in Virginia and North Carolina. World Market Center: World Market Center is an integrated home and hospitality contract furnishings showroom and convention complex in Las Vegas. When fully built, at 12 million square feet in 8 buildings, World Market Center will be the largest trade show facility in the World. The 12 million square foot campus will showcase furniture, decorative accessories, lighting, area rugs, home textile and related segments, as well as a Design Center open year-round to the trade. The second building is under construction and will open in 2007; officials are now leasing the third building to a broad cross-section of the home furnishings industry.
