Harvey Dondero, president and CEO of Broyhill Furniture Industries, Inc., announced that Broyhill has decided they will not show during the upcoming High Point pre-Market scheduled for March 2006. “Last year our dealers agreed with this decision, and their opinions have not changed in the last six months,” Dondero stated. “Our time between Markets is best spent working in the field to provide Broyhill retailers with the highest level of service possible. Coupled with the overall lack of interest in the practice of pre-Market, we felt we would better serve our customers by not participating. This allows us to remain focused on our dealers’ needs by providing consistent, year round service and giving them the most positive and complete Market experience possible.” Dondero’s announcement follows a very successful showing of new product at the Las Vegas Market. He elaborated, “We are committed to bringing fresh and exciting designs to key Markets. The response to our introductions in Las Vegas was phenomenal. Look for Broyhill to continue to build momentum in High Point at the April Market.” Broyhill is one of the largest full-line furniture producers in the world, and is one of the most recognized furniture brands among consumers. The extensive furniture line includes products for living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, home entertainment, and home office. Broyhill Furniture is headquartered in Lenoir, North Carolina and is part of Furniture Brands International (NYSE:FBN), also the parent company of Drexel Heritage, Henredon, Maitland-Smith, Lane, and Thomasville.
