Broyhill Postpones Awards Ceremony

Broyhill announced that the event originally scheduled for Friday, March 31 to commemorate a safety record of three million work hours without a lost time injury has been postponed. Workers will still be treated with lunch at the upholstery facility on Friday; however, the award presentation itself will be held at a later date. Marc Carpenter, vice president of human resources for Broyhill, stated “It is important for our senior management to be here to take part in this celebration. Several of our executives, including CEO and President Harvey Dondero, are unable to attend due to unexpected changes in travel schedules. We hope to hold the ceremony when both he and Labor Commissioner Berry can be present to share this milestone with our associates. The new date has not been nailed down, but we anticipate it will likely be in the next month.” Broyhill Furniture’s extensive line includes products for living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, home entertainment, and home office.
