Kingsdown Names Jim Ross Vice President of Marketing

Kingsdown, Inc. announced the appointment of well-known mattress executive, Jim Ross, as Vice President of Marketing. In this newly created position, Mr. Ross will report to Pat Flippin, President and COO. With a long-standing career in the mattress industry, Mr. Ross brings a wealth of experience to draw on at Kingsdown. Over the past 20 years, he has served in various marketing and sales roles at Sealy. Most recently, Mr. Ross led special projects and initiatives, such as the launch of the Sealy Posturpedic line in January 2006. He was also Vice President of Marketing for Stearns & Foster for seven years, during which time the brand became synonymous with premium bedding. Under Mr. Ross’ leadership, Stearns & Foster grew to over $225 million in sales, making it the largest premium bedding brand in the United States. Prior to the marketing role, Mr. Ross served as Sales Manager and Account Manager for 6 major US markets. “Jim’s proven success at positioning and selling high-end product makes him an obvious fit,” said Pat Flippin, President and COO of Kingsdown.
