Myriad Software’s new sales account executive, David Peterson, moves from Myriad client to Myriad employee, bringing with him unique first-hand experience using the system he’s now selling. “I know how much Eclicktic™ can do,” says Peterson. “I’m excited to be able to sell something I believe in for a company I respect.” As sales account executive for Myriad, Peterson will concentrate on business development and marketing, areas in which he is exceptionally well-qualified and experienced. For almost 10 years prior to joining Myriad, Peterson worked with a nationally prominent Myriad client, moving from merchandise manager to store manager, where he won national top-volume awards two years in a row, and on to group vice president of sales and lastly, general manager of operations for six stores. Previous to that, Peterson spent eight years with the home furnishings division of one of the largest Federated department stores. “With Dave, we have someone who can talk about Eclicktic business owner to business owner,” says Carolyn Crowley, Myriad Software co-founder and president. “He knows exactly what it takes to operate a business more effectively – how to turn customer relationships into more sales, how to keep your finger on every end of your operation no matter where you are, especially how Eclicktic can help furniture retailers doing $1 million and primed to grow, or those that have already reached $100 million, do it all better, faster and smarter.” At the end of this summer, after months spent being bicoastal in order to begin working with Myriad on the West Coast and allow his daughters to finish their school year on the East Coast, Peterson moved with his family to San Diego. He says his only regret in making the move is giving up his association with the Connecticut Choral Society. He participated in concerts at Carnegie Hall twice with the group. He may have found an alternative hobby, though, in San Diego – surfing. His first experience with daughters Sarah and Laura was “awesome!” and won’t be his last, he says.
