A world of woodworking technology is just a mouse click away at the Woodworking Machinery Industry Association's newly- redesigned Web site: www.wmia.org. The site features the WMIA's Online Sourcebook, an electronic database of woodworking equipment, software, cutting tools, accessories and other products and services offered by the association's 160 member companies. The Online Sourcebook allows visitors to search for products by product type, brand name, company name, regional distribution or available services. "The Web site was designed in keeping with WMIA's Commitment to Excellence Through Technology theme," says Bill Miller, CAE, WMIA's executive vice president. "The high-tech look, easy navigation, content and new features communicate the value of the technology WMIA members provide." Other features of wmia.org include information on woodworking careers and scholarships, industry news and events, information on WMIA's annual awards program and profiles of the winners, an online version of the WMIA's popular Shop Guide and links to useful Web resources. "WMIA encourages members of the woodworking industry to remain competitive now and in the future by investing in engineered solutions that increase productivity, quality and efficiency," Miller said. "The WMIA Web site is a tool to help them get there." WMIA is a Maryland-based association of companies whose primary business is providing the North American market with the latest woodworking technology, equipment, computer software and distribution service channels available globally. The association maintains a website at www.wmia.org. For more information, contact WMIA HQ, 3313 Paper Mill Rd., Suite 202, Phoenix, MD 21131.
