WithIt Announces 2007 Educational Conference Dates

Women in the Home Industries Today (WithIt) will hold next year’s annual educational conference entitled, “Mining Opportunities,” August 7 – 9, in Charlotte, NC. The conference is open to all home industry professionals. Held late August this year, the new timeframe accommodates the fall 2007 High Point Market schedule. Also new for 2007, WithIt’s educational conference will kick off on Tuesday, August 7, with Market U 101: Extreme Makeover, an optional afternoon workshop devoted to professional development that includes one-on-one coaching and bio writing on-site. Bids for prospective speakers for next year’s conference are being accepted now, at www.withit.org WithIt’s 2007 Educational Conference achieved record attendance in 2006 and additionally serves as the venue for the organization’s annual WOW Awards. Next year’s dinner and awards presentation will be held on Wednesday, August 8. Retailers, manufacturers, suppliers and other industry professionals will be invited next spring to nominate deserving individuals and businesses in the home furnishings industry. WithIt was founded in 1997 to encourage and develop leadership, mentoring, education and career opportunities for women in the home furnishings industry. Honoring its 10th year in 2007, WithIt is planning a diamond anniversary theme for the popular educational event and will focus on better ways to serve and connect the industry’s manufacturers, retailers and suppliers.
