ULC announced that their rapidly growing retail division has hired a new leader, just in time for the upcoming Spring High Point Market. Ed Schneider has been named University Loft Company’s Vice President of Sales for its Retail Division. “ Ed has long career in retail and a proven record of success in all levels of sales. With Ed’s experience in executive sales management, there is no doubt that he will serve as a great asset to taking our retail division above and beyond,” claimed James Jannetides, President and CEO of University Loft Company. Most recently, Schneider held the position as Vice President of Sales for Bush Furniture Industries since March 2006. He was responsible for the Northeastern two thirds of the United States and Canada. Before this post, Schneider was Vice President of Sales at Ashley Furniture for over five years and had direct responsibility for sales growth in the Midwest, North and Eastern two thirds of the United States. University Loft Company was founded in 1986 by James Jannetides while attending Southern Illinois University. James built a loft for his room to maximize space in his typically small dorm room. Other students admired his loft system, and that summer James invested his savings in enough wood to build 400 loft units. Upon returning to school, these high-demand lofts were sold to fellow students and that’s where ULC was born. Today, ULC manages more than 1,200 university accounts per year. University Loft Company is considered a leader in the government sector and retail division, as well. Committed to providing a superior product with an unmatched service level, University Loft Company is the leader in the contract furniture industry.
