“Mattress Firm has withdrawn its letter of intent to acquire Mattress Discounters. We have worked closely with them for the past several weeks through the due diligence phase and put forth great effort to arrive at an agreement that would be a win-win. However, it ultimately became clear to us that this wasn’t the right move for Mattress Firm. We remain focused on organic growth in our current markets, as well as expansion into new geographies, and we will continue to look for acquisition opportunities that share our passion for the consumer and drive for product and service leadership.”
