Leggett & Platt Announces New President, Consumer Product Group

Rob Woods has been appointed President of L&P’s Consumer Products Group, which includes Fashion Bed, Steel Bedding Support and Top of Bed linens and accessories (Southern Textiles and Westex). As President-CPG, Woods will have responsibility for all administrative, sales and manufacturing activities for the group. He has over 30 years of experience in the residential furnishings industry, with over 23 of those years as a Leggett partner. Woods’ office will be at the Leggett Western Region facility in Whittier, CA. Dennis Park, Senior Vice President of L&P, President, Commercial Fixturing and Components, made the announcement. Woods will report to Park. Additional changes include: -Dick Ralston, formerly president of the Consumer Products’ Central Division, has been moved to Senior Vice President of Operations. He will be responsible for the operation of steel bedding support and manufacturing and ornamental bed warehousing facilities. -Dan Greer, formerly president of the Consumer Products’ Eastern Division, has been moved to Senior Vice President of Sales – National Accounts. Greer will be responsible for all sales initiatives with national accounts in the top of bed, bedding support and ornamental bed categories. He will work in conjunction with the Regional Vice Presidents of Sales. Greer will also be responsible for Contract and International sales.
