Audra Harrington Named Director of Marketing Services High Point Market Authority

The High Point Market Authority has created a new staff position and named a Market insider to the post. “We are pleased to announce the appointment of Audra Harrington as director of marketing services,” says Brian D. Casey, president and chief executive officer of the High Point Market Authority. “Audra brings us a wealth of knowledge about the inner-workings of the Market and her energy and experience will be a great asset to our team moving forward.” Formerly operations manager for Showplace, Harrington is a High Point native who has worked in the home furnishings industry for more than a decade. At Showplace, she gained extensive experience in building operations, leasing and the development of marketing and advertising materials, and was a driving force behind production of the “Stars Under the Stars” event series. Prior to her tenure at Showplace, she served as assistant showroom manager for Wildwood Lamps, also in High Point. According to Casey, in her new position, Harrington will act as a bridge between marketing and operations. As such, her responsibilities range from public relations support and coordination of sponsorship programs and special events to Market Scouts training and database management. “This is just another means of adding the necessary services to support the needs of our customers,” Casey notes. “We are continually working to expand our programs and these added resources will help us to jumpstart many of the creative ideas we have to improve the Market experience for all concerned.” Adds Harrington, “I grew up with the High Point Market, and like everyone else, have been wowed and energized by all the changes that that have been implemented in the past year.
