Bob's Discount Furniture Raises $350,000 At Charitable Event

Bob's Discount Furniture, the fastest growing furniture retailer in the northeast, with stores in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island, announced that it raised over $350,000 for its charitable foundation at a recent golf and dinner event and awarded over $250,000 to four regional nonprofit organizations. Last week with over 300 business and community leaders in attendance at the 20th Annual Bob's Discount Furniture Charitable Foundation Golf Event, Bob Kaufman, president, Bob's Discount Furniture, presented checks totaling: $20,000 to the Scott Mulready Foundation at the Connecticut Children's Medical Center, Hartford, CT (www.ccmckids.org); $60,000 to The Jimmy Fund, Brookline, MA (www.jimmyfund.org); $70,000 to Family and Children's Aid, Danbury, CT (www.fcaweb.org); and $100,000 to the American Cancer Society's Camp Rising Sun Charitable Foundation, N. Branford, CT (www.camprisingsun.com). "The support and participation for our 20th annual event was truly amazing. We are trying to improve the lives of so many needy children by raising and distributing these funds every year. I would like to thank everybody involved with the event including the Bob's Discount Furniture team, my friends and family, and all of our corporate supporters for making this year's fundraiser a huge success," said Kaufman.
