Green Manufacturer NaturesCast Inc., To Debut Line At Grammy® Awards

NaturesCast® Inc., the US subsidiary of a green home furnishings and accessories manufacturing company from The Philippines, announced that it is partnering with Distinctive Assets to debut its products to presenters and performers of the 50th Annual GRAMMY® Awards at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, CA. NaturesCast® products can be viewed at the GRAMMY® Awards Gift Talent Lounge on February 7-9, 2008. The GRAMMY Awards are scheduled to be broadcast live on the CBS Television Network on Sunday, February 10, 2008 (8:00 p.m.-11:30 p.m. EST). "Unique about NaturesCast® products is that they are made from dry leaves, dead twigs and barks from the forests around Compostela, Province of Cebu, The Philippines," said explains Pete Delantar, President. Forest scraps are shredded through a special machine and bonded together using an odorless water based binder and shaped into unique and functional forms designed by local artists. Each piece carries the warm tones and textures of the natural ingredients were they came from. “We are meeting an increasing demand by consumers for environmentally-conscious consumers for eco-friendly products without sacrificing style and design, Mr. Delantar noted. “Instead of throwing away or burning forest castaways, we provide a livelihood for residents of poor communities around Cebu City. We feel it is only a matter of time before our products are totally accepted in international and local markets.” NaturesCast®, a member of the Sustainable Furniture Council (SFC), will introduce participants to its chic, modern Club Chair and Club Stool as well as a matching Club Side Table. Presenters and Performers will have the opportunity to scoop up gifts while relaxing in the eco-friendly furniture during rehearsals. The GRAMMY Talent Gift Lounge is presented by Kinerase and features Xbox Rock Band. The Lounge, designed by J. Gatsby Events, will showcase a space designed by Distinctive Design Company featuring home décor items from four members of the SFC. Other participants include Interieurs, O Ecotextiles and Christian Rathbone.
