Rooms To Go To Build $45 Million Louisiana Distribution Center

Rooms To Go, a leading independent furniture company, has expanded its presence in Louisiana with the recent purchase of 60 acres in the town of Pearl River in St. Tammany Parish. The project and the construction of the facility will entail an aggregate expenditure of approximately $45 million and will include an 818,000 square-foot distribution center and 40,000 square–foot Rooms To Go retail outlet. This distribution facility will service the four Rooms To Go showrooms already located in Louisiana. They are located in Baton Rouge, Metairie, Gretna and Covington. The endeavor is expected to provide approximately 300 construction jobs and over 400 permanent jobs upon its completion. “We are thrilled that Rooms To Go is building this state of the art distribution facility in our Parish. The distribution center will distribute furniture to Rooms To Go customers from Panama City, Fl, to Baton Rouge, LA and with over 90% of its inventory in stock will allow the company to offer expanded Next Day Delivery of furniture in Louisiana as well as along the Gulf Coast.
