American furniture manufacturer Harden announced that it will exhibit at the Las Vegas Furniture Market for the first time this summer, with plans to showcase its eco-friendly domestic product at the Living Green Pavilion, located on the fifth floor of the new Building C. “Living Green Pavilion creates a new opportunity for Harden to profile our commitment to sustainable manufacturing as well as our U.S. made products,” said Greg Harden, company president. “We’ll feature an edited presentation of our wood and upholstered furniture which meet SFI- and SFC-criteria.” Harden was the first furniture manufacturer to be awarded the prestigious Silver Exemplary Status by the Sustainable Furniture Council. The company owns 10,000-acres of timber property in upstate New York, where it maintains an on-site Forestry Division, adhering to stringent environmental principles and practices. Harden has implemented a number of conservation, reuse and recycling practices at its McConnellsville facility. Harden will bring a broad selection of furnishings to market, including items from its Continental Crossing, Cabinetmakers Cherry, Natural Transitions and European Interpretations collections, as well as a wide range of custom chairs, consoles, curios and upholstery. A retro modern tub chair will be showcased with the company’s new luxury premiere eco-foam, made with soy rather than petroleum, which is now available to consumers as a standard option on any of Harden’s upholstery pieces. The Living Green Pavilion, now in its third market, will debut at its new 12,000-square-foot permanent space on the 5th floor of Building C. According to Las Vegas Market authorities, the Living Green Pavilion is the country’s largest, most comprehensive venue of its kind, and all products shown are verified sustainable.
