Hilding Anders Acquires High End Italian Bedding Manufactuer

Hilding Anders announced that it has acquired 100% of the shares of the Italian bed manufacturer, Bedding Srl. The company is based in Pove del Grappa, close to Treviso in Italy, and is expected to have sales of SEK 170 million in 2008. The company manufactures premium segment beds and mattresses, and also has its own network of retailers. The acquisition of Bedding Srl means that Hilding Anders enters into another significant European market. Italy is currently one of the five largest markets in Europe and is considered to be a prestige market in the bed industry. Demand for premium products is on the increase and the market is a trendsetter in design and form of beds and mattresses. ”This entry into the Italian market is a break-through for us,” says Anders Pålsson, President & CEO of Hilding Anders. ¬”Bedding Srl is a sound company with excellent future prospects, and it will now form a good base for Hilding Anders in Italy.
