Powell to Launch Two New Youth Groups in Las Vegas

Youth leader Powell Company announced that it will introduce two new kids furniture collections at the Las Vegas Furniture Market later this month, in space A753. Dakota is a boys’ western-themed group in pine with MDF in a Dark Rustic Pine finish with washed red, green and gray accents. This 19 -SKU group’s highlight is the Stage Coach Bunk Bed, which is designed to look like a covered wagon, complete with wagon-wheel accents, a step to get into the wagon, and canvas tenting around the lower bunk. It also features a multi-purpose trundle, to be used with a mattress or with storage dividers. The rustic western details continue throughout the collection, with a barn-style bookcase headboard and barn door panel headboard. Price points range from $99 through $999. “This is an innovative collection that will delight little cowboys-at-heart and their parents,” said Anne Russell, vice president of merchandising for Powell. “We know kids will love sleeping in their very own stage coach, and moms will love the classic, wholesome western theme.” Puzzle is a whimsical, colorful contemporary group in MDF with feet and hardware in a metal and chrome finish. The 13-SKU group features grid-patterned headboards with color blocks in primary red, blue, green, orange and grey panels with interchangeable dresser and chest drawer fronts. Price points range from $99 through $999. “Puzzle is a fun, eye-catching group that we think kids and parents will both gravitate toward,” said Russell. “Its contemporary styling fits with today’s home furnishings and kids’ hip tastes.” Dealers placing a minimal stock order on these two groups can earn a new Sharp LCD HDTV or a Nintendo Wii through Powell’s Dealer Incentive Program. The program offers some of today’s top consumer electronics, which dealers can take home right from the showroom, with minimum orders starting at $5,000.
