Mealey's Furniture Collects Half-Ton Of Supplies For Veterans

Mealey’s Furniture announced that more than a half-ton of needed supplies -- 1,000-plus pounds – was collected for wounded veterans over the Labor Day Weekend at three Mealey’s Furniture locations in Bucks County, PA. Working with volunteers from the American Red Cross Lower Bucks County Chapter, customers brought in enough donations to fill a 12-foot cargo van, which is being driven down to Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Supplies included personal toiletries such as full-sized bottles of shampoo, body wash, razors, shaving cream, lotion, toothbrushes, toothpaste and dental floss, mouthwash, feminine products, deodorant, lip balm, full-sized bath towels; gift cards for gas, telephone, restaurants, snacks, i-Tunes; and new clothing such as sweat tops and bottoms, cotton socks, boxers and briefs, women’s underwear, and tear-away warm-up pants and shorts.
