The Joe Ruggiero Showroom for Miles Talbott has been honored with the Visual Appeal Award in the Second Annual High Point Market Showroom Design and Merchandising Ideas Competition sponsored by the High Point Market Authority. A total of 70 showrooms were entered with only six winners selected. “In decorating the Miles Talbott showroom for market, my goal was to create a serene, uncluttered, home-like environment, which is reflected in the neutral tones on the walls and sea grass matting on the floors,” said Ruggiero, who recently joined forces with the upscale upholstery manufacturer. “With the hectic pace of market, people appreciate having a space where they can relax and enjoy the furnishings.” The showroom layout was also designed to showcase Ruggiero’s Sunbrella® fabrics to best advantage, emphasizing high levels of design sophistication for performance fabrics offerings. Ruggiero brought 26 of his most successful Sunbrella designs to the Miles Talbott showroom for fall market, supplementing these best sellers with 18 new introductions. One of the most striking elements in the Miles Talbott showroom, which also captured the eye of judges, is the use of Sunbrella Sheer fabrics printed with photography that Ruggiero shot during a trip to Germany.
