Sleepy's Expands Partnership with Toys for Tots for 2008

Sleepy’s, the Mattress Professionals, a family-owned east coast mattress company, has partnered up with the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation in their tradition of providing underprivileged children with gifts this holiday season. In an effort to expand their contribution over previous years, nearly all of Sleepy’s 700 showrooms will serve as conveniently located drop-off stations to the surrounding communities. Sleepy’s stores will also be accepting cash donations, which will be used by the Toys for Tots Foundation to purchase and distribute age-appropriate gifts to children in need. Throughout Sleepy’s history with Toys for Tots, the company has opened donation opportunities to their corporate employees and select showrooms. The 2008 holiday season will be the first time their efforts will be this widespread, including each participating Sleepy’s showroom accepting monetary donations. “Our goal is to make sure every needy child receives a toy for Christmas,” says Major Bill Grein, USMC (Ret), Vice President of Marketing for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. “With over 13 million children living in poverty, cash donations help us meet the growing need to deliver age and gender appropriate gifts to all children.
