Sligh Television Console Named "Best Buy" in Consumer's Digest

Sligh Furniture, announced that "Consumers Digest", has selected Sligh’s new Laredo television console as a consumer “best buy” in the home entertainment category. The publication noted that the Laredo console has “the best storage versatility among consoles we evaluated,” giving Sligh high marks for well thought-out DVD, gaming device and component storage capability, and for the company’s proprietary SmartEye™ technology saying, “But the coolest feature is the hidden infrared sensor in the façade of each wood door that allows you to operate components via remote control even when the console doors are closed.” SmartEye is included on most Sligh TV consoles and entertainment centers. Other innovations include the company’s Multi-Flex ® drawer organizational system, StrongArm™ mounting unit and the Sligh SmartFan™, an automatic cooling device that protects expensive components by sensing and adjusting the temperature inside a console or entertainment center.
