Paulette Cole of ABC Home Furnishings Wins FIT Retailer of the Year Award

The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) announced that it will honor leaders in the home products industry at its 13th annual Scholarship Awards Breakfast to support the college’s Home Products Development program. The event, which will raise funds for student scholarships, will be held on March 10 from 7 to 9 am at Cipriani, 110 E. 42nd Street, New York City. This year's honorees are Paulette Cole, president and CEO, ABC Home Furnishings, Inc., who will receive the Retailer of the Year Award; and the Kahn family, founders of the textile company Croscill, Inc., who will receive the Distinguished Family Leadership Award. Warren Shoulberg, publisher and editor-in-chief of HFN–Home Furnishings Network, will be master of ceremonies. Event co-chairs are Carl Goldstein, S. Lichtenberg & Co., and J. Barry Leonard, Ex-Cell Home Fashions, Inc. Tickets are $250 per person or $2,500 for a table of ten. FIT's program in Home Products Development–the only one of its kind in the world–offers studies in both hard (furnishings and accessories) and soft (textile) line classifications. It was developed with the assistance of members of the home furnishings industry and FIT alumni. Courses include product development, product knowledge, and marketing specific to the home products industry.
