Elemental Design Concepts announced that it will open a new full service design center in White Plains, NY. The store will blend the elements of nature with the finest selection of high-end furnishings and finishes. White Plains Mayor Joseph Delfino, members of the Common Council and invited guests gathered at the 7,000-square-foot design center for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening. Elemental Design Concepts features fine furnishings, designer kitchens and bathrooms, a complete selection of high-end tile, flooring and painting services, and home theater design and installation-- all under one roof. Among the prestigious brands featured in the center are customizable NEFF kitchens, Villeroy and Boch, Duravit and Rapsel bathroom fixtures, Caesarstone and Concetto quartz surface countertops and contemporary and traditional Italian furniture lines including Reflex/Angelo, Ver Design, Tomasella and Angelo Cappellini. Many of the brands featured at Elemental Design Concepts are exclusive to the Westchester area. Elemental Design Concepts is the creation of 38-year-old entrepreneur, Fred Mastroianni, who at age 20 began his business career opening his first of 21 dry cleaning businesses. “After a few years of being in the cleaning business I realized that what I actually enjoyed was the designing and building of the stores more than the day-to-day running of them. In 2003, I opened a tanning salon that won a national award for its design: it was at that point I realized that design and development was what I wanted to do.” He went on to say, “With Elemental Design Concepts, I intend to establish a new standard of excellence in home design for today’s market.” Mr. Mastroianni’s approach to interior design weaves the elements of nature – wood, stone, water and even fire – into creative interiors that range from the traditional to contemporary to eclectic. For example, the center features a designer bathroom with a bathtub set within a Japanese koi pond with a triple 14-foot high ceiling tub filler. Also on display in the center is a dining room where a wall of birch logs create a decorative backdrop; an ultra modern kitchen which features a gleaming stainless steel floor, and a living room with a Planika coffee table that includes a built-in smokeless fire element. Elemental Design Concepts is a “one-stop shop” with a full-time staff of painters, artists, custom woodworkers and tile craftsmen who provide complete design and contracting services under the direction of Mr. Mastroianni. “We have the capability in-house to do every aspect of a project from concept to completion without the need of outside contractors. It’s a very cohesive and efficient process,” he said. “Besides our attention to detail, the relationship we have with our clients is most important. We work together to provide the highest standard of service: combined with the client’s personal touch, we achieve a harmonious design.” Mr. Mastroianni is currently handling several major residential design projects in the area including a $325,000 renovation in Chappaqua, a $100,000 project for a homeowner in the Wykagyl section of New Rochelle and a $120,000 interior make over of a penthouse condo in downtown Stamford, CT. “It’s very important for homeowners to remember that their home is their biggest asset. Reinvesting in their home will only increase its value; and, when the housing market rebounds, as it always does, the value of their home will be significantly greater. For all homeowners, whether they own a house, a condo or a co-op, quality remains important regardless of the economy,” he said. “The Westchester area and surrounding communities are renowned for their elegant and beautiful homes. Tremendous opportunities for growth for our company reside here.”
