WHFA Welcomes New Board Members During Recent Las Vegas Market

Western Home Furnishings Association (WHFA) announced that its membership unanimously approved their new Board members and appointed Marty Cramer, Cramer’s Home Furnishings, Ellensburg, Wash., as their 2009 President during the Winter Las Vegas Market. The new WHFA board members include: Patti Evans, Consignments Plus, Walnut Creek, Calif., Eric Harms, Black’s Furniture, Yreka, Calif., Jeff Lindsley, Lindsley’s Home Furnishings, Grangeville, Idaho, Mark Navarra, Jerome’s, San Diego, Calif., Scott Selden, Selden’s Home Furnishings, Tacoma, Wash., Mike Shuel, Meredith Furniture, Yakima, Wash., and Pam Wright, Davis Furniture, Wenatchee, Wash. As WHFA President, Cramer will oversee the implementation and administration of all policies and programs mandated by the WHFA Board of Directors. Cramer, who has served six years on the WHFA Board, brings experiences from 14 years of retailing to the position of president. Cramer’s Home Furnishings has become synonymous with quality furniture and excellent customer service in the state of Washington since 1995. His three beautiful showroom locations in Ellensburg, Omak and Yakima, Wash., offer customers a wide variety of merchandise and friendly salespeople. Cramer and his wife, Michelle, are also very active in their local community, supporting the local hospital and the Equine Rescue Foundation. As WHFA’s 2009 President, Marty is upbeat about what the upcoming year will bring, “I am optimistic that things won’t get worse in 2009 and that they might even get better. I feel like those of us that are here now are survivors, and I think it is going to be a fun year.” Western Home Furnishings Association is the western affiliate of National Home Furnishings Association and serves 1,000 independent home furnishings retailers in 12 western states. WHFA offers programs and services, education and industry resources to help retailers simplify their business life. The WHFA Board of Directors is composed of volunteer home furnishings retailers.
