H Contract Expands Seating Line & Dining Chair Program Aimed at Influx of Baby Boomers

Furniture World News Desk on 6/7/2019

H Contract, a supplier of upholstered seating and case goods for the senior living, commercial and higher education markets, announced that it is adding three new upholstered chairs and a 21-piece dining chair program to its product line at the annual NeoCon show, running June 10-12 at The Mart in Chicago.

Designed for senior living facilities that are targeting the aging Baby Boomer generation, the pieces are designed to reflect an updated aesthetic for a fresh take on senior living style.

“As Baby Boomers approach retirement age – at an unprecedented rate of nearly 10,000 every day – senior living facilities are targeting these consumers very aggressively by designing new environments that are much more contemporary than the facilities of previous generations,” said Dean Jarrett, vice president and general manager of H Contract. “Welcoming spaces furnished with high quality and attractive furniture provides curb appeal for both prospective and current residents and are a very appealing to this audience.

“Our new introductions are right on trend for these new facilities,” he continued. “Smartly scaled and stylish, they offer an updated residential look combined with the durability of contract-grade materials for commercial use.”

Headlining the new upholstery product selections is the Izzy Chair which appears to float in mid-air from the back with its unique open arm design. Sitting on round tapered legs, the inside back features streamlined button details for a crisp, sophisticated look. Other key upholstery introductions are the stylish Della Chair with a tight seat and back and exposed wood arms and legs, and the Augusta Chair featuring an elegant wood frame with striking lines and unique stitching details on the inside  back.

The 21-piece dining chair program – the largest introduction in company history – will be represented in the H Contract booth at NeoCon with eight updated styles shown in a variety of modern and on-trend contract-grade fabrics. Most designs are available in a choice of two front casters, four casters or no casters, making them more versatile and mobile for residents, family members and caregivers. To further customize the look, the casters are available in a choice of an antique brass or a brushed nickel finish.
In addition, two of the designs, Zara and Holt – which will be on display at NeoCon along with six other styles – are available in counter and bar heights for use with more casually-styled counter-height dining or game tables and bar units. Counter and bar height models are not available with casters.

The new products will make their NeoCon debut in the H Contract booth, which is on the seventh floor, space 1101 at The Mart.
