Bob's Discount Furniture, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Boys & Girls Club unveiled two newly furnished rooms at the LaRosa of McKeesport Clubhouse of Boys & Girls Clubs of Western PA. Steelers linebacker Bud Dupree made a surprise appearance, led the day’s festivities, and spent some quality time with the kids in attendance.

The event kicked off with the ribbon cutting of the Strictly Business space, a place designated for the club’s music production program, where the club’s leadership team teaches its older members business acumen through Hip Hop Art and Production. The club’s teen career readiness and homework center was also unveiled during the event.

In August, Bob’s hosted the Boys & Girls Club on a shopping trip at the Monroeville store to select the furniture and accessories that would be donated to the new spaces. Bob’s ongoing partnership with the Boys & Girls Club and Pittsburgh Steelers is part of the company’s mission to give back to the communities where Bob’s stores are located.

About The Pittsburgh Steelers: From the founding of the Steelers in 1933, giving back to the community has always been a priority.  Our late founder, Art Rooney Sr., recognized the importance of supporting the community that supports the team and passed that legacy on to his family–son, Dan, Steelers chairman and in turn to his son, Art Rooney II, Steelers president.  In addition to the Rooneys, Steelers players, coaches, and front office staff devote numerous hours helping those less fortunate through non-profit and community groups.  It’s our way of giving back to the community that has supported the organization for more than 80 years!

About Boys & Girls Club of Western Pennsylvania: Boys & Girls Club of Western Pennsylvania is a unique organization consisting of eight Clubhouses.
