Home furnishings retailer FFO Home recently announced that Jay Peters has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer. In this expanded role, Peters will be responsible for all vendor relationships and play an even more important role in the leadership of the company.

Since joining FFO Home in 2010, Peters has developed and expanded FFO Home’s merchandising department, implemented several successful initiatives, played a major role in the company’s 2012 rebranding effort, and helped expand its geographic footprint. Earlier this year, FFO Home’s merchandising department was presented with the 2019 Tupelo Furniture Market National Buyer Appreciation Award in recognition of the company’s numerous contributions to the furniture industry.

“Jay has been instrumental in FFO Home’s growth and success over the last several years”, said FFO Home CEO Hank Mullany. “As EVP and Chief Merchandising Officer, his leadership, extensive vendor relationships and expertise will be invaluable as we move forward in a highly competitive industry.”

Prior to joining FFO Home, Peters spent 12 years as a sales representative with Standard Furniture Manufacturing. Currently, Jay serves as a member of the Arkansas Home Furnishings Association Board of Directors.

FFO Home in 2018 acquired Service Furniture and Bedding, Inc., a leading operator of home furnishings and bedding stores, and increased its position as one of the top home furnishings retailers in the country. The company now has 68 locations across nine states.
