Malouf Foundation Raises More Than $33,000 at Annual Art Auction

The Malouf Foundation hosted its fourth-annual Art for CAPSA art auction and benefit dinner on Nov. 8 at the Malouf headquarters. A premier event in Cache Valley, the Foundation raised $33,619 during this year’s fundraiser, with all proceeds benefiting Citizens Against Physical and Sexual Abuse (CAPSA) and its mission to end domestic abuse.

More than 100 guests enjoyed a cocktail reception and chef’s tasting prepared by Malouf Executive Chef Courtney Larsen and his team. Additionally, guests were able to bid on 48 pieces of original art donated by renowned artists. Pieces included oil paintings, sculptures, photography, and a landscape painting by featured artist Larry Winborg.

“Art for CAPSA brings our community together for an important cause,” said Kacie Malouf, co-founder of Malouf and a Malouf Foundation board member. “We recognize our dedicated employees and our generous community members for making this event a huge success.”

Money raised from the event helps fund CAPSA’s free therapy program. Last year, they sheltered more than 300 Cache Valley women, children, and men from domestic abuse, and provided specialized counseling services to over 388 individuals. They continue to maintain a no-turn-away policy—inspiring other shelters across Utah to do the same.

“Every donation to CAPSA is tangible evidence to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault that someone cares about them,” said CAPSA Executive Director Jill Anderson. “Abuse is isolating and scary, but a caring community gives them the courage to start their healing journey. With these funds, we can provide our clients with support, expertise, and tools to be free from abuse.”

The Malouf Foundation hosts multiple events each year to raise awareness for its causes and charity partners. In January, the Foundation will hold the fifth bi-annual Forging Freedom event in Las Vegas at the World Market Center.
