Nominations Now Open for 2020 WithIt WOW Awards

WithIt, the women’s leadership development network for the home and furnishings industries, announced that it has opened nominations for the 2020 WOW Awards and announced two new categories of awards beginning this year. 

 

The two new award categories are: Visionary and Sales Excellence. 

  • The Visionary Award will honor a successful woman of achievement whose insight and actions have significantly impacted the home and furnishings industries and/or WithIt.
  • The Sales Excellence Award will honor a woman who is extraordinary in sales, demonstrates excellence in education and relationships with her customers, and exceptional commitment to the manufacturers she represents.

The 2020 WOW Awards will be held on Monday, April 27th, 2020 in High Point at the IHFC International Ballroom from 6:00-9:00pm. “We are thrilled to add the new Visionary and Sales Excellence categories this year and look forward to a successful event at April’s High Point Market,” stated Lorri Kelley, WithIt’s 2020 President and founder of Lorri Kelley Advisors.

 

These two new categories, in addition to the four listed below are now open for nominations through the WithIt website: http://bit.ly/WOWnominate

 

  • Mentoring Award - For an executive or organization that has fostered advocacy, development or promotion of women in their company.
  • Education Award - For an executive or company which has developed programs to educate associates, retailers or consumers about home and furnishings industries.
  • Leadership Award - For a woman over 40 who has demonstrated successful leadership in her company, in WithIt, and/or in the home and furnishings industry.
  • Future Leadership Award - For a woman under 40 who has demonstrated outstanding achievement and the potential to become an industry leader.

Anyone may submit nominations for these awards through a brief form online until January 31, 2020.

 

The WithIt Awards Program began in 1999 and has honored over 80 finalists and numerous nominees over the past 20 years.  “We encourage everyone to take a moment to make a nomination. The WOW awards are an important component in our industry to continue to highlight the impact women have made and continue to make and foster future generations of female leaders,” stated Amy Van Dorp, Executive Director of WithIt.
