Eclipse International Expands Velika Line With Eco-Friendly Design for $1,599

Eclipse International recently announced that it will showcase a new design Velika Eco-Luxe that makes sustainable, healthy sleep attainable for a new group of consumers. Priced to retail at $1,599 in queen mattress only, the Eco-Luxe features a high coil count pocketed unit, Talalay latex, organic wool and organic cotton.
Building on the success of the upper-end Velika line and its continued growth at retail, Eclipse seized the opportunity to develop new opening priced models at more popular price points. The mattress is designed to appeal to consumers who desire a more natural sleep experience, but who, in the past, may have believed they couldn’t afford a mattress with these types of natural materials. Velika Eco-Luxe fills the niche at an attainable price point.
“We paid close attention to the construction and the materials we used in the Eco-Luxe to deliver a more natural offering at a competitive price,” said Stuart Carlitz, president and chief executive officer of Eclipse International. “Demand for more natural bedding continues to grow, and Velika continues to resonate with consumers. Through research, our team found that consumers will choose natural or organic materials if they don’t have to pay a premium for it. At Eclipse, we make that possible.”
Eco-Luxe is an 11-inch mattress designed with edge-to-edge pocket coils, Talalay latex and organic cotton. The hand-tufted quilt includes New Zealand organic wool, and the mattress features Velika’s signature duvet.
With the addition of Eco-Luxe, Velika now spans a price point range from $1,599 to $4,999 giving retailers a comprehensive merchandising program with the line. At the top end of the lineup is Velika Pure, which is crafted with cashmere, quilted wool and organic cotton all atop a 10-inch, all-natural Talalay latex core. The original Velika, introduced in early 2018, retails a $3,499 in queen for the mattress and duvet. Since its launch, Velika has become the second fastest growing brand in the company’s portfolio behind the venerable Eastman House line.
The Velika Eco-Luxe can be viewed in the company’s Las Vegas Market showroom located at B-1118 in the World Market Center during the market, Jan. 26-30.
