IMC Announces New Hire to Enhance Open Year Round Experience

Caroline Russell, Design Services Manager

International Market Centers (IMC) has announced the hiring of Caroline Russell, who as the new Design Services Manager will focus on driving Open Daily and at-market attendance of designers and home retailers to AmericasMart and providing on-site customer service once they arrive. IMC also has released its full 2022 schedule of “Market Wednesday” activities at AmericasMart Atlanta. 

“Bringing Caroline on as our Design Services Manager will not only enhance our implementation of awareness for design-focused showrooms and drive attendance to Open Year Round events, but further AmericasMart Atlanta’s position as the focal point of home and gift education,” said Bob Maricich, IMC CEO. “IMC’s ‘Market Wednesday’ events will continue to elevate the traditional Open Year Round shopping experience through inspiring design direction and driving order writing in 2022.” 

As IMC’s Design Services Manager, Russell is the direct liaison between AmericasMart and the local design community, with a specific focus on Open Year Round showrooms. She also serves as concierge to AmericasMart visitors in the Designer Workspace – IMC’s designated gathering space for designers to meet, conduct business, ask questions and more. Russell will report to Eleanor Hunt, Director of Marketing for Gift & Home in Atlanta.

Russell joins IMC with two prior years of experience as a Client Services Representative at Ferguson Enterprises, where she assisted interior designers in selecting lighting, appliances and plumbing and was selected as one of two sales associates to pilot international Build.com rollout. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in advertising from the University of Georgia in 2019. 

Russell will oversee the Designer Workspace daily and is available during six 2022 “Market Wednesday” events - February 2, April 6, June 1, August 3, October 7 and December 2 - during which buyers can shop all three AmericasMart buildings for gifts, accessories, home furnishings and décor.  “Market Wednesdays” are held from 10am – 4pm on the first Wednesday of each month when a market is not in session.
