Coaster Fine Furniture Expands Staycation-Inspired Collections at Spring High Point Market

Furniture World News Desk on 4/16/2025

Coaster Fine Furniture will expand its Staycation-themed presentation at the Spring 2025 High Point Market, introducing new bedroom, dining, and occasional pieces designed to reflect a modern coastal aesthetic. The collections will be featured in a retail-ready environment on the first floor of the Coaster showroom, located at 111 E. Commerce Avenue.

The Staycation concept, developed around themes of wellness and relaxation, features multiple collections exclusive to Coaster, offered across a range of price points from promotional to premium. This season marks the first High Point showing of the full Kailani and Bexhill bedroom collections, along with additions to the Arini line.

New this market are two bedroom collections—Solano and Pembroke—as well as expanded upholstery and occasional furniture offerings, including television consoles and floor mirrors.

Crafted in Indonesia, the Solano collection is made from mango veneers and mahogany solids and features fluid lines and clean silhouettes with substantial wood posts. A sandblasted finish gives the collection a textured, light-toned appearance.

“Our product team continues to level up with exclusive designs at a variety of price points to deliver tangible value to our customers,” said Crystal Nguyen, Coaster's vice president of merchandising and strategic planning. “Solano is a nuanced design with depth and interesting shapes, and our first collection with an all-over sand-blasted finish. The neutral, weathered wood surface is just not possible to achieve with wire brush and requires a master factory to execute.”

The Pembroke bedroom collection draws on West Indies design influences and is made from solid poplar and oak veneer. It features a wire-brushed finish in washed oak, aligning with the Staycation theme’s neutral and relaxed visual tone.

Like earlier Staycation collections, Pembroke follows Coaster’s “bought product” strategy, with inventory either in stock or incoming at the time of Market.

“The product is already in stock or incoming, which eliminates the lag time of getting items into retailers’ inventory and takes advantage of one of our key differentiators, which is the research time we invest in the development of exclusive products to help retailers stand out in their marketplaces,” Nguyen said. “Consumers see their homes now as the place they most want to escape to, and retailers need to be able to translate the staycation attitude for them as this trend continues to gain momentum.”
